What is therapeutic care?
Therapeutic care supports young people who have been impacted by trauma, abuse or any other severe disruption prior to being placed in care.
It ensures that those who require additional support can address their needs in an environment where they feel safe.

What does this mean for children in our care?
Every child we work with has access to our therapeutic package.
This includes bespoke and comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosis and strategies from our trained professionals, to ensure the individual needs of the child are met responsively and effectively.
With our own in-house therapeutic team, assessments, diagnoses, and therapies can be provided without waiting times. Instead of NHS waiting times of up to 3 years for children in care, we offer this support immediately. Our children and foster parents have access to this for as long as they need whilst in our care.

What does this mean for the adults we work with?
Every evolve staff member is therapeutically trained.
Therapeutic care is not just about children but also serves to put foster parents at the front of care too, receiving immediate access to our multi-disciplinary team.
Each foster parent that joins evolve will undertake our Therapeutic re-parenting course.
Fostering affects the whole family and so our support is extended to every member of the household.
Every member of the Residential team has undergone extensive therapeutic training upon joining evolve and continue to receive ongoing support including monthly reflective practice to ensure that therapeutic care is continuously embedded within the culture of the home.
