Why foster carers choose Evolve

The reasons foster carers tell us made the difference.
1
You'll never foster alone

Our experienced team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Practical advice, emotional support, or just someone to talk things through, you'll always have someone by your side.

2
Therapeutic support without the waiting

Our in-house multidisciplinary team provides immediate access to therapeutic advice, assessments and direct work. No long waiting lists, no additional costs.

3
A social worker who has time for you

Our Supervising Social Workers support a maximum of seven families, so they have the time to build a real relationship with yours and answer when you call.

4
Industry-leading allowances

Between £520 and £800 a week per child, £950 for parent and child, averaging £675. If you're already approved elsewhere, we'll match or improve what you're on now, in writing.

5
Thoughtful matching

Before any placement we consider each child's needs, experiences and personality alongside your family's strengths. Careful matching gives placements the strongest possible start.

6
A genuine community

Fostering shouldn't feel isolating. From local partnerships and family events to our own FOSTival, we're building somewhere foster families stay connected long after the training finishes.

What happens when you get in touch

No pressure, no obligation, and no cold calls out of the blue.

1
We have a chat

A relaxed conversation, at a time you choose, about you and what you're looking for. Ask us anything.

2
We come and meet you

One of our team visits you at home, answers your questions and talks you through what fostering with Evolve actually looks like.

3
You decide in your own time

If it feels right, we start your assessment together. If it doesn't, that's a perfectly good outcome too.

The support has been incredible from day one. I always know someone is there if I need advice, and I genuinely feel part of a community.

Proudly independent. Passionately local.

There are no investors or corporate owners behind Evolve. It was founded by professionals who have spent decades in fostering and children's social care, and who know exactly what foster carers need to succeed.

We're a local agency covering Kent, Medway and the South East London boroughs. Small enough that we know every one of our families by name, established enough to give them everything they need.

A message from our founders

Why Evolve exists

“Therapeutic care should be the foundation of every fostering experience, not an optional enhancement.”

We founded Evolve on a simple but profound belief: every child who has experienced trauma deserves the opportunity to heal, thrive and build a brighter future.

Children who have experienced loss, neglect, abuse or instability need more than just a placement. They need safety. They need consistency. They need trusted relationships, and adults who understand the impact of trauma and can walk alongside them.

Remaining independent lets us stay true to that. It gives us the freedom to focus on quality over scale, relationships over processes, and outcomes over targets. Every decision comes back to one question: how will this improve the lives of children and young people?
